Details: The Royal Oak at Hurdlow is a friendly unspoilt pub on the edge of the High Peak Trail (perfect for a break!) just off the A515 Buxton to Ashbourne Road opposite the turn off to Monyash.
Serving good home-cooked food and tradional beers 6 days a week all day (yes, food served all day!) - closed on Mondays - the pub also offers affordable accommodation for up to 26 in a separate stone-built Bunk Barn plus Camping facilities too. Food, glorious food
Typical offerings include a Thursday night steak night at £11 for 2 meals (March 2007). Pub food includes a range of Peak District cuisine graded home made pies (Steak and Kidney, Beef with Stilton etc) and a range of robust, tasty food to satisfy the biggest appetities after a hard day exploring the Trails and pathways.
