Location, location...
Located just a short distance from the famous Dovedale stepping stones and the spectacularly beautiful foothills of Thorpe Cloud, this listed stone cottage, built in 1725 has all the beauty and charm you could ever wish for.
Thorpe Cottage Country Guest House is set in the stunning surroundings of Dovedale, in the Peak District Derbyshire Dales. Dovedale is only a short drive to Chatsworth, Kedleston Hall, Bakewell, Ilam and Tissington. Whether you plan to cycle the Tissington Trail or spend a day exploring Chatsworth, there are so many interesting places to see and fun things to do here.
The luxurious rooms
Each of our four rooms is luxuriously decorated to a very high standard right down to the smallest detail. All have a flat screen television, dvd/video player (complimentary film library available to our guests), illuminated clock radio, wardrobe with full size mirror, dressing table and chair, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, modern en-suite bathroom with distinctive lighting and tiling.
The Deck and Garden Area
We have a lovely decking area, beautifully landscaped with stunning scenery of green hills and trees. After a busy day of visiting some of the country's most beautiful walks, sit back and relax on the decking furniture and unwind. It's so quiet here, you might like to read a good book or have an afternoon nap. The choice is yours.
