Finalists in Derbyshire 2008 pub food awards...The Royal Oak at Hurdlow is a friendly unspoilt pub on the edge of the High Peak Trail (perfect for a break!) just off the A515 Buxton to Ashbourne road opposite the turn off to Monyash.
Serving good home-cooked food and tradional beers 7 days a week all day (yes, food served all day!) the pub also offers affordable accommodation for up to 26 in a separate stone-built Bunk Barn plus Camping facilities too.
Food, glorious food
Typical offerings include a Thursday night steak night at £12 for 2 meals. Pub food includes a range of Peak District cuisine graded home made pies (Steak and Kidney, Beef with Stilton etc) and a range of robust, tasty food to satisfy the biggest appetities after a hard day exploring the Trails and pathways.
