A detached stone built holiday cottage for 2 in the conservation village of Elton (complete with character pub) near Bakewell.
Sorry no pets* and no smoking. The cottage is in an excellent base for many activities including cycling on the Tissington and High Peak Trails close by. There are opportunities for caving, abseiling at Monsal Head, rock climbing at Black Rock and Robin Hood’s Stride to name but a few. Water sports at Carsington Water close by. For that unforgettable experience the owners can book any outdoor activity for you within the Peak District National Park, please enquire for details and costs. From the cottage are some of the best walks in the Peak. It is also close to many local attractions such as Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, the pretty market town of Bakewell, the attractions of Matlock, Castleton and Buxton are within an easy drive.

*Pets at Pinfold*
Whilst we cannot accommodate pets in Pinfold Cottage, we know a local 'canine hotel' where your dog would be cared for like being at home.  Your pet would stay there during your holiday - they would live indoors as a home boarder and not in a kennel outside.  If you wanted to, you could collect your dog during the day and take them for a walk and then return them to their holiday home.  At the end of your holiday your pet could even be groomed before they return home.  If you are interested please contact us for more details.

More Information
Pinfold is a detached stone built cottage dating back to 1835. The interior of the cottage has been imaginatively designed and has spacious accommodation which is full of character. It is doubled glazed throughout.

The lounge has two comfortable leather sofas, a Derbyshire Gritstone fireplace with log burning stove (initial supply of logs included), a desk area and plenty of books and information of the wealth of activities in the Peak District. There are stone steps leading to…
..the bedroom which has a king size bed, a vaulted ceiling and heavy exposed beams giving the room plenty of character and charm. It also has its own en-suite shower room, with hand basin and toilet.

The bedroom window takes in the early morning sun and a rear glazed door allows immediate access onto the verandah with garden furniture which is south facing and enjoys views across fields and open countryside. There is also a small garden below the decking.

The very light and airy (well equipped too) vaulted kitchen/dining area benefits from taking in the late afternoon and early evening sun.

Off this room is a ground floor cloakroom with hand basin and toilet.

There is a front garden with garden seat and plenty of parking directly outside the cottage.
