The hotel rests in 11 acres of manicured gardens and grounds and the towering Thorpe Cloud as a backdrop, Thorpe pastures on one side, and numerous footpaths and trails passing through its grounds, along with the famous stepping stones on the River Dove, on the Derbyshire and Staffordshire border.
