Peak Pound Partnership from Friends of the Peak District

Introduction

Each year, there are 22 million visits to the Peak District. Tourism is essential for the local economy with 24% of Peak District residents employed in the sector.

Thousands of local businesses rely on the beauty of the Peak District for their livelihood. The Peak District needs looking after to make sure that these visitors keep coming back and help the local economy.

We want businesses - like yours - to support Friends of the Peak District's work and demonstrate your commitment to the local environment by signing up to our Peak Pound Partnership.

We hope you agree that a pound is not too much to ask a visitor to add onto their bill after spending £250-£500 for a week’s holiday in a cottage, £100-150 for a weekend stay at a hotel or B&B or £30-50 for dinner.
