Parish Church of St Leonard in Monyash

...a Grade II listed building

The Parish Church of St Leonard dates from the 12th century (1198), and is one of the prettiest in the Peak District.

Situated in Monyash, the church's elegant spire rises from a solid, battlemented and unbuttressed tower and the spacious interior has wide north and south transepts.

Among its treasures, located at the back of the church, is an enormous iron-bound Parish Chest, which may date as far back as the 13th century.

St Leonard's is a Grade II listed building.
