ABOUT US

Our company has been running since 1971, and we are a small family run business. Every customer will be dealt with by a member of staff. We are not a central booking office.

We have a variety of narrow boat hire boats from fully modernised narrow boats with facilities for ipods and games consoles etc, to fully traditional style narrow boats with traditional style boatman's cabins with solid stoves and authentic canalboat engines.

All of our staff have in depth knowledge of the boats and the waterways. We are at the very hub of the famous, historic canal system of the North West and from our base - 3 main routes radiate: Cheshire Ring, Four Counties Ring and Llangollen Canal Routes.

CANAL HOLIDAYS

Llangollen Canal - 50 locks and 112 miles

The Llangollen canal is remote and picturesque, completely away from the hustle and bustle of towns and cities. However, there are plenty of convenience stores and country pubs serving food and drink all day long. From leaving the boatyard, take a nice relaxing cruise to Barbridge Junction where there is a choice of hostelries for your first evening.


Cheshire Ring - 92 locks and 100 miles

Cheshire Ring canal holidays offer a variety of cruising experiences from the foothills of the Peak District National Park to the trendy suburbs of the City of Manchester. You have a choice to navigate the ring clockwise or anti clockwise from the boatyard. We find that the majority of our customers prefer to leave the boatyard and head anti clockwise spending the 1st evening in the small village of Wheelock or Hassall Green, where there are a wide range of pubs and bistros.
