Karen Frenkel

...the Peak of photography

Karen Frenkel is a dedicated professional landscape photographer who has been living and working in the Peak District National Park for 15 years.

Karen believes in returning to the same location time after time at certain stages throughout the year in order to seek out those fleeting moments when weather conditions and dramatic light combine to make an image special.

From a photographic image library of around 80,000 images, her work is regularly published in calendars, magazines and advertising throughout the country.

She has been a regular contributor of images and photographic articles to Derbyshire and Peak District Life magazines for a number of years, and a commissioned photographer for Severn Trent Water and visitpeakdistrict.com.

Apart from photography, she runs her own greetings cards business with many outlets throughout the Peak District and also sells her work as fine art prints and on large canvas media.

Over the last 6 years she ran many landscape workshops teaching people camera use and composition, but is cutting back this year in order to release more time for photography.

She is currently working on two books, one “Peak Landscape and Light” which was published in late 2010 and one based across the north of England which was due in 2011.

The images on this slide show (and many others) are all available as prints or canvas at various sizes and reasonable prices. Commissions also welcome. Please enquire.
