Overview

Nestling in the heart of the lovely, tiny hamlet of Little Longstone near Bakewell at the heart of the Peak District National Park is this fine old Edwardian manor house under the new ownership of Dawn Gregory since 2009. 

The emphasis here is on friendly, personal and relaxed service with locally sourced, home prepared food and produce from its own mature gardens. Dinner also available by arrangement.

The Hollow offers 3 spacious and characterful double bedrooms all with private bathrooms (one of which is ensuite) and offering superb views of the surrounding countryside looking south towards Ashford in the Water and the Monsal Trail.

Short breaks and holidays are available throughout the year except Christmas and New Year.

Location

With walks directly from the doorstep and the Monsal Trail, Monsal Dale and Bakewell all within easy walking distance, The Hollow is located at the heart of the Peak National Park - there's even a tiny local pub (The Packhorse) just along the road that serves excellent, locally brewed beers and good pub food.

Bakewell, Chatsworth, Monsal Dale and Haddon Hall are all within 10 minutes drive of the Hollow. Local pubs serving good food in Little Longstone itself, Great Longstone, Monsal Head, Ashford in the Water.
