OFFCOTE GRANGE COTTAGE HOLIDAYS
Hillside Croft is one of our two five star luxury self catering cottages, each sleeping from 10 to 14 guests. Luxury bed and Breakfast is also available, please enquire for details. A beautiful, historic, stone country cottage dated 1709 and surrounded by 6 acres of private gardens and pastureland. With nature at your doorstep, it is the perfect place to relax and unwind with friends or family. Just a 10 minute walk from the cottage takes you to the village and the 2 pubs, each serving food. Alternatively we can arrange for quality catering at the cottage, we can also offer you the enjoyment of a relaxing pampering session. Just ask and we will do out best to accommodate your needs.
There are some lovely walks from the doorstep and we are just 2 miles from Carsington Water which offers cycle hire, walks and other leisure facilities. Edging the Peak District National Park it is the perfect central location to explore all that Derbyshire has to offer.

Details on Hillside Croft
This picturesque cottage is built of mellow sandstone and has pretty stone mullioned and leaded windows, heavy oak beamed ceilings , a mix of oak, tiled, stone and carpeted floors, and inglenook fireplaces with cosy wood burning stoves for those cooler evenings.
As you approach the cottage you will love the lovely cottage gardens which are safe for children to explore and a delight to sit out in, there is ample space to park many cars.
When entering the cottage you will notice a cosy peaceful feeling, it is warm and welcoming, full of character, with features in all directions. The separate lounge and dining rooms are delightful, comfortable and furnished in antique pine furniture to a high standard. Both have cosy wood burning stoves which give a lovely ambience in the evenings. The kitchen has handmade antique pine units with granite and tiled worktops and is extremely well equipped for those culinary creations.
There are 5 bedrooms that can sleep up to 14 guests on the 1st and 2nd floor with shallow steps between the floors. One bedroom is en suite and there is a master bathroom that has both a walk in shower and a bath. There are 3 WC at the cottage.
All rooms are fitted and furnished to a high standard with all you could possibly need to make your visit as stress free and relaxing as possible.

Activities
Within 8 miles of both cottages there is cycle hire and water activities, archery, clay pigeon shooting, karting, quad bikes, paintballing, fishing, pony trekking, hot air ballooning, tennis, golfing, and not to be missed walking the many beautiful Derbyshire Dales. Ice skating at Nottingham- 28 miles, Roller skating at Derby 12 miles.
Places to Visit
Within 30 minutes drive - Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Sudbury Hall, Kedleston Hall. Crich Tramway Museum, Midland Steam Railway Museum, Belper Mill, Gullivers Kingdom, Heights of Abraham, Matlock Bath, Wirksworth Mining Museum, Denby Pottery and Visitor Centre. Bakewell and Matlock and the lovely village of Tissington. The well dressings around the villages throughout spring and summer are a must to visit.
Within 40 minutes drive - Alton Towers premier theme park, Water World- indoor water park, Castleton Caves, Ladybower Reservoir, Bolsover castle, Chesterfield, Tutbury Castle, Buxton and the historic Opera House........ and much, much more.
