Location
Dannah Farm Country House offers beautiful and luxurious B&B accommodation in the Derbyshire Dales, on the southern fringes of the Peak District National Park. Located on a ridge dividing the Ecclesbourne from the Derwent Valley, recently designated a World Heritage Site, the farm is a few hundred yards from Shottle village, part of the Chatsworth estate, and originally a royal deer park. Shottle is midway between the lovely old market town of Wirksworth, steeped in history, and Belper - Beau Repair, beautiful retreat. We are ideally placed to enjoy the many and varied attractions of the area, and are within half an hours drive of Dovedale, Alton Towers, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, the High Peak Trail, Crich Tramway Village, etc, etc - the list is endless!!. We are the perfect location for holidays, romantic breaks and business guests looking for something a little different.

Dannah Farm Country House
Dannah is a lovely 18th century Georgian farmhouse with its own tranquil atmosphere and character. The farm has been sympathetically converted to offer luxurious and stylish accommodation surrounded by extensive gardens and beautiful countryside. Dannah has been awarded 5 Yellow Stars Highly Commended from the AA, placing it amongst the top 10% of accomodation providers in the country!! Dannah Farm Country House is the only accommodation in Derbyshire to have 5 Yellow Stars from the AA, and a little Gem award from the RAC. In 2008 it won silver at the East Midlands Tourism Awards, the highest award in its category in Derbyshire.

Accommodation
All the rooms at Dannah are individual and feature items and styles from the past mixed with contemporary finishes in furnishings and fabrics. The overall effect is stunning, and particular attention has been paid to our feature rooms, some with double spa baths, wet rooms, a private sauna, and even, “The Studio Hideaway” with outdoor hot-tub set on a private terrace!
Unique to Dannah, we have recently created our new spa facility, "The Leisure Cabin", which can be booked for exclusive use by the day, along with any of our bedrooms. Private and tucked away, outside it has an enclosed terrace and garden, complete with outdoor shower and enormous Canadian Spa Hot-Tub. Inside, the Cabin is full of WOW factor, with a luxurious living space with squashy leather sofa, flatscreen TV/DVD, films, books and games. It has a Finnish sauna, perfect for two, roomy enough for six, and a superb double steam shower. So, treat yourselves to something just that little bit different, Slip into the hot tub, order the Champagne and relax as the weekend unfolds before you!

Food at Dannah Farm
The food is an important part of any stay, and here at Dannah we hope to make it a memorable one. Our renowned freshly cooked farmhouse breakfasts are a true delight, served in relaxed and elegant surroundings - the perfect start to any day. Food is locally sourced wherever possible with our own free range eggs and home-made bread. We are members of Peak District Cuisine.

From time to time, dinner is served at Dannah with 24 hours notice. To avoid disappointment, if guests do require dinner this should be mentioned on booking. If guests prefer to explore the area and eat out, we are very lucky to have a wonderful selection of superb pubs and restaurants fairly close by.
