Dale Cottage is a Grade II listed cottage located in the stunning village of Ashford-in-the-Water, near Bakewell, and sleeps four.

• Low Season from £485 per week

• High Season from £600 per week

• Short Breaks from £300

Weekly lets Friday to Friday or Monday to Monday, short breaks normally a three night stay commencing Friday or four nights for the price of three commencing Monday.  These prices are based on upto four people sharing.

Cottage information:

This spacious semi detached cottage in the delightful village of Ashford-in-the-Water, near Bakewell, is full of character, with original beams and stone mullioned windows. The painted country kitchen is a large and well-equipped, with stone mullioned windows to three aspects.  There is an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher and breakfast table and chairs. 

Two openings lead through to a large comfortably furnished lounge/dining room.  The room features the original beamed ceiling with exposed timbers, wide pine floorboards and a large original gritstone fire place with log burning stove.

The staircase leads to a newly refurbished shower room.

Up another few steps, which leads to a long landing providing access to the bedrooms and family bathroom.

The king size bedroom has oak beams over the windows to three aspects, and feature timbered wall.  

A further double bedroom with feature timbered wall, and window with oak beams over the window providing a view over the field and woods opposite.

Two steps lead to the spacious family bath room comprising bath, toilet, bidet, separate shower cubicle and basin with shaver point/light.

Bed linen and background heating are included.

A cot can be provided for a small extra charge.

The cottage is approached along stone and gravel pathway.

Outside:

• The cottage has views over neighbouring garden and field with cattle, there is a stone paved patio with outdoor seating for guests use.

• Guests also have access to the large wildlife pond (close to the parking area) that is home to Mallards, Coots, Moorhens, frogs, toads, newts, an abundance of fish and occasional heron!

• The private gate to the Monsal Trial is accessed through the fields via the gate or stile off the main driveway, close to the car park.

• There is parking for one car at the cottage (please enquire if you require more than one parking space).

• Please note this cottage is not as near to the parking area, so our other cottages better meet the requirements of less mobile guests.  It is appromately 100 yards from the parking area to the cottage.
