The Charles Cotton Hotel has undergone a transformation with a new restaurant and a programme of improvements across all areas of the property and business. The hotel provides a base for all tastes - walking, fishing, cycling, horse riding or simply discovering the wealth of heritage that abounds in Derbyshire and the nearby Potteries
With a total of 16 en-suite bedrooms (10 in the hotel and 6 in the annexe), brand new a la carte restaurant, welcoming and cosy open fires, quality bar meals, a choice of 4 locally brewed traditional beers (Whim Ales) and old-fashioned tea rooms, in the popular Peak District village of Hartington, complete with village pond, Stilton Cheese maker and walks into Beresford Dale, Dovedale and beyond.
Rates include full English breakfast served in the delightful new restaurant.

We can also arrange fishing on the River Dove close to where Izzak Walton and Charles Cotton fished 350 years ago. Residents get one fishing token per day included in the room rate.
