Barn Croft Cottage is a stone built cottage situated in the village of Elton, five miles from both Matlock and Bakewell in the Peak District National Park. This all ground floor cottage sleeps two people and has one double bedroom, as well as a family shower room. The cottage also has a well-equipped kitchen and sitting room with stable door, which leads out to the garden. To the outside of this cottage, there is ample off road parking and a garden with sitting area, garden furniture and BBQ, plus the opportunity to have the use of the owner’s large garden. Situated in a beautiful National Park, Barn Croft Cottage is a perfect romantic retreat.

Delightful garden and private sitting area with garden furniture and BBQ and shared use of owner’s large garden with superb views of surrounding hills. One well behaved dog welcome at £10 per short break and £15 per week. Sorry no smoking. Storage for bikes. Pub (no food served) 5 mins, shop and pub (serving food) 1 mile.

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the 'Winter' period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.

Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the 'Low' and 'Mid' periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.

'Last Minute Breaks' (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the 'LOW', 'MID', 'HIGH', 'PEAK', 'XMAS' and 'NEW YEAR' periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

The cottage was perfect for 2 people, excellently maintained. The owner was exceptionally helpful and made us feel welcome. We had a welcoming pack on arrival and she presented us with freshly baked scones and jam during our stay. She really went out of her way to make everything perfect including fresh flowers.
