Full details: Thorn Heyes House offers a choice of 3 excellent apartments sleeping 4, 5 and 10 plus a Coach House sleeping 7 - and is situated on the outskirts of the famous Buxton Spa town - the highest market town in England. Both apartments are spacious, comfortable and presented in first class order having been refurbished in 2008.

The Accommodation in detail

The Iolanthe Suite is on the 1st floor sleeping up to 4 persons, and offering:

• 2 double bedrooms
• Bathroom (corner bath with shower over bath)
• Lounge/dining area with log effect fire
• Kitchen with gas oven & hob*

The Mikado Suite is on the 2nd floor and can sleep up to 5 persons, providing:

• 1 double bedroom,
• 1 family room (1 double bed & 1 single bed)
• Bathroom (bath with shower over bath)
• Lounge with dining area and log effect fire.
• Kitchen with electric oven & hob*

*Both kitchens are equipped with:

• Kettle & toaster
• Cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils, pots, pans and glasses etc
• Microwave
• Washing machine
• Under unit fridge with freezer compartment
• Iron & ironing board

The Coach House at Thorn Heyes

The Coach House is situated behind Thorn Heyes House. It stands on the site where the original stables to the house were, which we previously let out as stable apartments. It can sleep up to 7 persons in 4 lovely centrally heated bedrooms.

There are two allocated parking spaces for the Coach House, plus more in the grounds of Thorn Heyes House if required.

The accommodation comprises the following:

Ground floor

• Large kitchen/dining room, with two ovens (electric) and a 5 burner hob (gas), built in fridge & drawer freezer, washer/dryer, microwave, kettle, toaster etc. Crockery/cutlery/glasses/pans etc. Iron & ironing board.

• Lounge with colour TV
• Double bedroom
• Toilet & shower room

1st floor

• Double bedroom en-suite with corner bath with shower over.
• Double bedroom
• Single bedroom
• Toilet room & shower

A Security deposit of £75 is required with all bookings

The Week runs from Friday to Friday.

Low Season: 3 January - 11 July
High Season: 11 July – 24 October
Low Season: 24 October – 18 December
High Season: 18 December – 3 January

Easter period & bank holidays are charged at High Season rate. Good Friday being March 21, Easter Monday March 24, May bank holiday May 5, Spring bank holiday May 26, Summer bank holiday August 25, which will be charged at the High Season Rate.)

During July/August/September we may only take short breaks ‘last-minute’ i.e. within 3 weeks of date required.

Christmas & New Year breaks are for a minimum of 5 nights, with any additional nights being £80 per night per apartment.

Please note the following
- We provide bedding & towels, including tea towels, dishcloths, washing up liquid, shampoo, hand soap, and toilet rolls.

- We kindly ask guests to respect our non-smoking policy. (There will be a £50 charge if smoking has occurred in the house.)

- Unfortunately we cannot accept pets in the accommodation, to maintain a high standard of housekeeping for all our future guests.

High standard throughout
The apartments are furnished and equipped to a comfortably high standard throughout, providing guests with everything needed for a warm, relaxing and enjoyable stay.

There is ample private off-road parking, with handy conveniences close by: 24 hour Tesco Express & service station; Robin Hood public house, both within 3 minutes walk. The main shopping centre – Spring Gardens - is also only 10 minutes walk from the house too, so no need to feel stranded here!

We keep an extensive range of leaflets with what to see and where to go in and around the area, leaving no shortage of things to do for guests who like days filled with activities and adventure.

Buxton has plenty to offer as a town with the Opera House, Go Ape park, Poole’s Cavern, to name but a few. It also has a lively night scene with several nightclubs, an abundance of restaurants and a wide choice of other eating houses. So if after a busy day’s sightseeing the prospect of cooking is less than appealing, you can let someone else do it! (One of the many advantages of a self-catering break.)
