Full details: Peaceful & remotely located - available for couples to let from late Spring 2008 (more photos coming shortly) - The Stable is very quietly situated in the grounds of our family home on the edge of the Peak District, 2.5 miles behind Chatsworth House woods, at 1053ft altitude, and approximately 7 miles from Bakewell, the ‘capital of the Peak District’.

Bakewell offers a range of delightful shops, cafés and public houses where you can eat or, on a sunny day, sit by the river in the park and have a picnic!.

Prices
Low season: £160 - £190 per week
High Season, Christmas and New Year: £210 - £325 per week.

Bed linen, towels, tea towels, gas and electric are included in the price.
Dogs are welcome at £10 per stay.

Twitcher's delight!
The Stable is situated on a quiet country road amidst forestry, meadows and moorland with regular visits from Woodpeckers, Buzzards, Curlews, Tree Creepers and the odd Sparrow hawk, most of which can be seen out of the windows of ‘The Stable’.

The accommodation is currently being renovated but briefly comprises:

- 1 double bedroom en-suite
- Lounge with TV/DVD
- Kitchen dining room with Electric Cooker and Hob in kitchen, Washing Machine, Dryer and Microwave
- Separate shower room
- Electric heaters

Patio leading to a lawned area with arbour overlooking a tranquil field and forest in the distance.

There are several walks within the vicinity, short and long - no need to jump in the car!

There are many tourist attractions within easy reach, leaflets are kept in the stable for our guests to use.

A well behaved dog is welcome, there is a small charge and owners are requested to keep dog on a lead when in the grounds.

Also the town of Matlock is 4 miles from the cottage which also hosts a range of shops and cafes.

If you want to travel further the larger town of Chesterfield is approximately 9miles away with its famous crooked spire. And the city of Sheffield is approximately 18 miles from the cottage.
