Full details: The Old Chapel Cottage - sleeps 6 in 3 good bedrooms, 2 shower rooms, pet friendly (2 well behaved dogs max), quietly situated in a leafy backwater, 200 yards from a good pub with walks everywhere.

4 miles to the market town of Leek, very close to Tittesworth reservoir, The Roaches, Ramshaw rocks and within a very pleasant country drive of the Peak District's main attractions at Bakewell, Chatsworth, Haddon, Buxton and the High Peak & Tissington Trails - The Old Chapel makes a wonderful base for a superb short break or holiday 'away from it all'.

In fact the new owners were first introduced to the charms of the property whilst on holiday themselves!

Accommodation details
- The cottage sleeps up to 6 (there is a sofa bed upstairs so 8 could be accommodated)
- A cot is available
- All linen (duvets) is provided as well as towels
- DVD/video/ tv and a selection of videos and dvd's plus some games and books are available
- Elecricity is included; heating is by storage heater;electric cooker, microwave,fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, hairdryer iron/ironing board.
- 2 shower rooms
- Accommodation includes 3 bedrooms, one with twin beds, one double bedded room and one four poster bedded room.

There is a small enclosed garden and there is parking outside on the road.

The chapel is pet friendly - we accept up to a maximum of 2 well behaved dogs.

Location, location...
The chapel is the former Sunday School of the small hamlet of Upperhulme located in glorious countryside midway between Leek and Buxton and provides peaceful, cosy accommodation.

It is within 10 minutes walk of The Roaches, justifiably popular as a superb walking and climbing area.

The chapel is a short distance from a good local pub serving food - Ye Olde Rock Inn (see photos).

Leek (nearest town for shopping, banks, restaurants, market day Wednesday, antiques) is approx 5 miles away, Buxton(Opera House, antiques) approx 10 miles away, as is Alton Towers.

Another family attraction within easy reach is the Heights of Abraham at Matlock Bath.

The Peak District and Staffordshire Moorlands area provide many areas of interest catering for a broad range of tastes and activity levels; there is a golf course in Leek; the Manifold Railway line has been reclaimed to provide cycle trails (cycles can be hired) as well as walks through the scenic Manifold valley.

Dovedale, possibly the most well known and beautiful of the Derbyshire Dales, is within easy reach (walking, fishing).

Tittesworth Reservoir is close by (walking, childrens activities, tearoom) and Carsington Water ( walking, water sports) within approx a half hour drive.

The village of Cheddleton is the venue of the Cheddleton Railway Centre with a locomotive display hall and steam trains running at weekends and in school holidays.

Dimmingsdale is a Forestry Commission woodland (known as 'little Switzerland')providing wonderful walks and views of the Staffordshire Moorlands .

The area is rich in historic houses ; Chatsworth, Hardwick Hall, Calke Abbey- and gardens.

Stoke on Trent is approx 10 miles away - the Potteries shopping centre, ceramic outlet shops such as Emma Bridgewater, Wedgewood etc, and the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery.
